OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

As part of the platform's ongoing development, a new section called "Movies & TV Series" was launched — a dedicated space for legal streaming of films and series. The section expands the core VK Video experience and transforms the service into a full-fledged multimedia hub, where users can enjoy both their favorite creators and premium cinematic content in one place.

The Brief

Create a motion graphics video to announce the new section within an extremely tight deadline, and adapt it for multiple broadcast channels — television and social media — taking into account different aspect ratios, durations, and viewing contexts.

The Process

The project kicked off with reference gathering and storyboarding in Figma, which made it possible to align on the visual language and pacing before moving into production. From there, 2D interface elements were animated in After Effects, while 3D device mockups were built and animated in Cinema 4D. The final compositing, color grading, and adaptation for different broadcast formats were done in After Effects.
